I like this video. I have seen over and over in my life that our collective love is powerful, transformative and healing. Even we little mortals can bless!

Passing Through the Wave – video by Mark Alvin

An intricate oil painting, a lyrical instrumental and a written message, all centered around change and the courage necessary to successfully “lean into” life’s transitional periods.

“The Gift of Forgiveness” video by Christopher Buck

Friday, January 1st, 2010

To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.
~ Lewis B. Smedes
Most of us carry around anger, resentment, jealousy, or some other negative emotion directed to others. Unless dealt with, they will eventually start to broadly affect the quality of our lives and those around us.
Forgiveness is the act of unchaining yourself from thoughts and feelings that bind you to an offense, imagined or real, committed against you. It is a commitment to a process of growth and change. The first step is to recognize the value of forgiveness and the positive impact it can have in our lives. When we forgive, we release the control and power of the offending person and stop playing the victim. We no longer define our lives by how we have been hurt and instead can define ourselves by how we have grown.
Anger makes you smaller, while forgiveness forces you to grow beyond what you were.

The Drop of Water

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Slow motion water droplets, at 2000 frames per second, this is the work of mathematician John Bush and others. For us it is both science and art, material and spiritual. Imagine, this happens billions of times a day!

Nature is an amazing teacher, through direct feedback and by analogy, if we simply use our imagination. I can imagine the drop of water being our own consciousness trying to become one with the Universe. Every time we try a part of us becomes one, but the rest is bounced back, only to try again. But, ultimately, all of us becomes one.

This is a beautiful video presentation using the message of world famous teacher, Marianne Williamson about our greatest fear being our own innate divinity. Highly recommended.

Note from Bert: I keep a copy of Marianne Williamson’s famous quote above my desk. It was life-changing.
